I just heard this from my man Brian at BestBassGear.com, that Dimarzio don't allow U.S dealers to sell to international customers.
What the heck?!
Out here in Australia a set of Ultra J's or Model J's would be in excess of the equivalent of $200 USD. No way am I paying that much. Seems that Dimarzio are going to lose quite a few customers to other labels, and I feel sorry for any dealers who lose potential customers from this. I guess they do what they have to do to make money, although IMO this is a bit of a raught.
I was actually planning on getting a set of Dimarzio Ultra J's in a couple of weeks cause I liked them so much in my old Fender, but looks like I'll be jumpin on the Nordstrand ship again, which I'm definitely not complaining about. Too bad for Dimarzio though..

However, if you happen to know somebody in the US that could buy the pickups for you and then ship them to you, you might be able to save a few bucks.

Bargain, as any dealer that sells them new here is asking silly money. Nothing new there though. This is Britain after all |

US to Aus for a pair of pickups airmail is about $US10-12.
I have a pair of J's sitting in a box unused in Sydney. Pay for the postage and you can try them if you'd like.

Who wouldn't take your credit card details and send it on? How would DeMarzio track this - unless you're a dealer yourself and try to buy two dozen at a time!?
Tip - speak to the owner of the store and do the deal over the phone.
