dimarzios in my thumb b.o.????

thinking for throwing a set of dimarzio model j's in my thumb bo 4 string and wiring it passive. the current electronics are not doing it for me anymore. a bit thin and the high end is hard to get under control. i'm thinking the beefyness of the model j's will give me what i need.

sooooo, what do you think? any experiences with warwicks (specifically thumbs) and model j's??? thanks

really? no thoughts??????? i love rock and roll, and play through an ampeg v4b (6 swr 10s hooked up) or an eden nemesis 210 combo if that helps. just not into the active tone anymore. thinking these of possibly some nordstrands or duncans.

i was thinking of doing the exact same thing. the model j, or a basic nordi or fralin...maybe even the aguilar pups. kinda leaning toward single coils...last time i went passive with the thumb, i had used a set of the ultra jazz, which i liked, but after trying these emg x, i want to go for more of a 'vintage' jazz sound this time around.
