Dimensions of p-bass pickup bobbins. Help!

Has anyone got the dimensions of the p-bass bobbins? I want to be able to fit a p-bass pickup inside a custom housing (jazzmaster guitar size) for a project.

Thanks!

Are you trying to do something like this?

It seems to me that the cover would be too small to fit standard P bass pickup bobbins.

Yes!
Thats what I want in a Jazzmaster cover. I am building a Jazzmaster 30" bass. What size is that pickup pictured?

I have no idea.

I talked to Curtis about that pickup once, because he did me a custom double Jazz bass pickup, and we had difficulty finding a cover for it.

He told me that that pickup was for a customer who supplied his own covers.

He has been known to put custom pickups in Jazzmaster covers though, because Jazzmaster covers will fit most pickup designs.
