Do I Need Special Pots for My '51 Reissue P Bass?

Sign in to disble this ad
I would like to replace the volume and tone pots in my MIJ Fender '51 Reissue Precision Bass. The pots are 250K and the cap is .047.

Do I need smaller diameter than usual pots, because this is a MIJ bass? I believe there is less space for the pots in these basses, but I haven't any confirmation of that.

What do you suggest for this bass as far as pots goes? Thank you.

You could just use mini cts pots those are small in size and good quality construction.

If you're not sure, just get the mini pots.

My '51 RI would not take standard pots... Needs mini's, however I am thinking of modifying it to take the regular size...
