curious. I like the sound of every nordy equipped bass I've played (haven't been TOO many and I can't really remember them now) but I'm wondering what metal guys think of nordy pickups. Especially their signature pups. |

I love metal, I love Prog, I like hard rock. All of these things will sound pretty good with our stock single coils and splits. I'm not sure dc's will cut enough, but thats my personal bias. You can't ignore however, lots of folks using emgs and barts, with active systems too...
More specifically big singles, p bass and NJ4's would rock. We did a 4.2 and sv neck set for ISIS's bass player. I use a 8 string jazz type single coil for the bridge, and a squat single coil (like the top of a fat stack) for my neck, on my 8 string single course.

I can't for the life of me find pictures of him with it, but IIRC the builder is here on TB. |

I like the Big Split pickups a lot, and was hoping they'd have a sound that'd fit.
I guess to clarify more than metal, I was wondering which pickups had the most aggressive sound, with mids that can be very present in a mix. |
