Do Nordstrand Big Splits sound like Dimarzio Model Js

I have a Lakland 55-01 that plays perfectly, but I am used to the sound of my jazz with Dimarzio model Js. I'm trying to get the 55-01 to sound like my jazz. Will the Nordstrand big splits do the trick? Any other suggestions??

big-ass soapbars are never going to sound like skinny jazz pickups.

i'd take those nordys over the cheaper MK1s anyway, though. they won't necessarily sound anything like model Js, but i'd bet that they'll sound really good in their own right.

Ever heard model Js?
They don't sound like skinny jazz pickups.

i have, and you're right.

they've got steel polepiece slugs and bottom-loaded ceramic magnets, so different from regular jazz pickups and from big splits, both of which have alnico rod magnets.

that they're both side-by-side coils might not be such a key tonal factor.

my point is that "similar" is probably not gonna happen, so i would just go for "good", something the nordstrands certainly are.
