I absolutely hate the MECs in my bubinga Streamer Jazzman. They're very growly for fingerstyle, but clank city when I slap, with no zing, even with a new set of Hi Beams.

I'm waiting on a Nordie MM5.2 which should be here quite soon, so I'll be back later on once it's installed to share my opinions. If it all goes well, I can see myself swapping the J pickup and maybe changing the pre also.

Of course, if you'd used the search function, you'd realise all this has been answered already: Who has WARWICKS with non-MEC pickups?

In my short time owning a Corvette Standard 5, I thought the stock electronics sounded great! I couldn't think of any reason to change them out of that bass.
