Hi Guys. . .

Many thanks. . .

Have you tried changing strings?

The E and A are picked up by the same coil, and they use a bar magnet. So it makes no sense that one string would be weaker and not the two. Inside the HB is a EMG P pickup.

It seems unlikely to be the pickup, but you changed the strings... Is the E a lot higher over the pickup than the A? Also, how does it sound when you aren't plugged in? Is there anything funky going on with the bridge saddle?

Is the pickup centered under the strings? Or is the E near the edge of the pickup?
