So on my long journey of trying to find the pickup that suits me, I finally came to a decision. I am in LOVE with the sound of Neodymium magnets and I also like the versitality of quad coils. Now what I haven't found is both of those together, so is there any company who can build me Quad coil pickups with neodymium magnets? Should I try to contact Bartolini? The only thing that have found that are close are neodymium stacked coil humbuckers by Bassculture, but they aren't quad coils like I want. Hopefully someone can help me out, because if not, I will just wind them myself, which I dont have the experience to do. |

Custom ordering "normal" products from Bartolini is already a long and painful process, I don't think you will meet success with them for your project.
On a sidenote, I don't think magnet material makes such a big difference in tone. You like quad coils, just get the real thing from Bart. |

All his stuff is completely custom and handmade, so I can't think it would be that big a deal for him to make a pair for you, he made some pickups for me acouple of years ago to a non-standard size at a pretty reasonable price. |

I know alot of people like Q-Tuners but by the looks of their web page, it seems to be alot more fluff. They really should just say what type of sound the pickup has, and get rid of the mumbo jumbo. |

Even if their website over-markets their product due to the technology rather than performance, I do believe these soundclips speak very highly for the tone.
