does anyone one know were i could get

hey i'm wonderin if you can get pickup surrounds for the yamaha BB414 in gold becuase i can find everything else but that

i'm in a no doubt tribute and becuase i can neither find or afford a BB 1600 i'm just replacing all the chrome on my BB 414 please help i want this to look as close as possible to tony's

NOS or used are the only source of discontinued items. Basically ebay. Probably a Yamaha forum somewhere that might get you some leads. Replating would probably be the simplest - probably not cheap but depends on what your time's worth.

I have no idea what it would cost here let alone in the UK.

Call local plating outfits. My guess is you won't have many options as most probably aren't going to want to mess with a couple small pieces but never inquired so don't know. The closest I've come is chrome plating for motorcycle parts when I was a kid. Had no trouble with that then but now there's environmental issues and God know what else. I know THD stop offering chrome plating option on their amp cages in Seattle cause of environmental stuff. Vacuum tube manufacturer and World Wide surfboard blank manufacturer in California shut down for the same.

Gold plating is going to be harder to come by. Good luck.

would this just be done by a gold smith ??
because if so i'm going to punch myself so f*****g hard because my guitarists dad is a goldsmith please say its a goldsmith that does it lol

Don't know but my guess is electro-plating has nothing to do with a goldsmith but he'd probably know where you could have it done cause he's probably had to refer people for as much.
