double mudbucker across the sky?

Hey Folks,

I'm still relatively new to the whole "bass thing" but I've more or less dived in headfirst.

my question is this- I've currently got an epi eb-3 and love it! I am also in the process of "restoring" another eb-3 that I got off ebay for $30 with no parts. what are general thoughts on putting a second "mudbucker"/ neck pickup in the bridge position? my understanding is that the main reason that thing sounds so muddy is that its butted right up against the neck and that its a 30k competing with a 6.5ishk

how do you think it would sound?

I'm going for a sabbath/blues/stoner/doom/metal/electric wizard/graveyard/witchcraft/pentagram kind of sound- would this work?

can't be that hard to re-route the thing considering I've got a template less than 6" north of the current hole...
