Anybody have pricing info? Will the GC be available in a Sterling 5HH? I guess we'll hear more in the next few months.... |

The upcharge is said to be $500 retail, which should translate to around $350 street.

You can then store these settings to 2 banks on a 5 way switch, giving you 10 presets, plus another 15 presets on a momentary switch on the upper horn. |

You can load it via its USB port. EBMM will have a website where you can save your presets and exchange with other players.
I see no reason to use an iPhone, since you would need to plug the bass into a USB port anyway.

You can set your own pickup combinations (or just stick to the ones onboard)
The signal is never digitized
All users can share settings via a web browser
The device does not need a computer nor the internet to work
All this in an instrument that looks like a regular piece
Although it looks more like a guitar tool, I'm happy that EBMM got recognized for their attempt to move things forward. |

All this in an instrument that looks like a regular piece | I could have all the series/parallel combinations I want by adding 2 mini-toggles to my Jazz bass. It would not be digitized, and would not need a computer or the internet. I wouldn't be able to share via a web browser, but that's okay by me. My cost would be about $10, plus an hour or two at my soldering station.

A jazz bass wouldn't be a useful application of the technology. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
