I'm a genius. After a toddler induced fall from a stand, my Carvin BB75's pan pot is dead. And I mean REALLY dead. The shaft broke out back of the pot's housing - there's not bringing it back to life. The rest of the preamp (and even more amazingly, the bass) looks fine, however.
Looking at the markings, and knowing that the 18V Carvin preamp's pan feature works in passive mode, this thing seems to be a standard 500k pan pot, albeit a PCB mount version with a 6mm solid shaft.
Short of shelling out $200 to replace the whole preamp assembly, does anyone know a source for a direct fit replacement for the pan pot?
I could probably jerry rig something with a pot that doesn't directly fit into the PCB, but I'd sure like to avoid that.
Time to get a wall mount bass hanger.
