I have a passive EMG P in my Yammi RBX fretless. Honestly, I don't know how it would sound in a SX but I hate it in my bass. The sound reminds me of someone crinkling up sheets of writing paper (I know that probably doesn't make a whole lot of sense...). Its awful and useless...could be that the bass is a piece of s*&^ too.

Now, I'm not against EMGs by any means. I have a Spector that has 'em and it sounds good. Just don't particularly like their passive pups.
