Here's the club, folks! You love the pickups. You love the preamps. Show us some pics of your EMG's and self-proclaim a member #. I'm takin' #1.
Here's my baby. It's a Spector Euro 4 LX. Though it's got the stock Tone Pump Preamp in it, the BQC system is going in it in a couple of weeks.

NS-2A on the left, EMG P/J and BQC
Stock (except for 18V) pair of ReBops with HZs. The 5-string will get a BTS and a set of 40 DCs very soon.

I have an Ibanez SR496 with 40Js and a BQS system.
There is a 35DC and BQC waiting to go in another bass and I am thinking a P5J set for a 5 string P Deluxe that I just bought.

While they are somewhat pricey, Roger at THG Knobs will make you literally anything you want. He and I chatted countless times via e-mail to come up with the ones on that bass. They have a Cherry cap, Pau Ferro body, Pau Ferro position dot, and thin slice of ebony between the cap and the body (can't really see it in the pics). I had him shape all of the knobs so the stacked on and the others looked as close to identical as possible. So he made the skirting on the non-stacked slightly larger, and the lower stack slightly smaller. They came out damn good, IMO.
He really is great to deal with.

| | | Maybe I can qualify for one of the oldest & well worn set of EMG's with this picture? I think installed these in my Fender Jazz somewhere around 89' & they still sound great and its still my #1 bass! Definitely EMG's for life! |

Though I think yours probly win.
I like the EMG's but they're just not quite my tone but thats why its my second bass and my primary has a pair of big humbuckers. That said, my primary is out of action for a bit, so I'm happily rockin' that bass at the moment. |

Three EMG 45DCs
Two EMG HZ's
One EMG PJ Set
One afterbuner
Three Pa-2's
One Pi-2
One BTS System
One BQC System
Sign me up for presidential membership! I don't care what these naysayers swear, EMG, to my ears, stomps my old Bartolini-equipped BTB Prestige's ass to the ground. My adventure with EMG started with one EMG45DC for a whimsical fancy, and ended up as over a grand in EMG goods, and a complete overhaul of my bass lineup. |

I don't have a full 'family' picture, which would include my two Warmoths- one with EMG P/J's and one with EMG J's,
but here are my three Spirits. The XZ-2 has EMG HBCS actives, and the two XZ-25's have EMG Select passives. The XZ-25 fretted has a HAS Sound custom harness, and the fretless has an Audere Z-mode system.
Note - this picture was taken before the HAS and Audere harnesses were installed. New picture forthcoming.
