EMG Help

Sign in to disble this ad
I own a Schecter Omen Extreme 5 bass and was thinking about changing the stock pickups. I decided that I want to use the EMG 40JX at the neck and an EMG 40PX-5 at the bridge.

I've never installed pickups before so I was wondering if I should also purchase the EMG BTS Control? The BTS Control includes bass and treble eq on separate pots. Also, should I get the EMG ABCX which is supposed to be a balance pot that reduces volume loss when in the center position?

Would this combination work well with these pickups? Do these pickups come with these accessories or do they need to be purchased seperately?

All purchased seperatly. Yes they will all work together. It's basically the same thing you have now but hotter with more clarity.

What he said. You'll probably need all those things to make it work the way you want. I didn't know I needed the ABC, so I have mine wired with 2 volumes at the moment.
