EMG-HZ's swap to EMG-35DC's w/ Spector TonePump

I already own a Euro 5, with TonePump and a pair of EMG-40DC's. I am fully aware of many bassist's hatred of the TonePump, but I love the tone - everything about it - so please don't try to talk me out of this. I just got my 2nd Spector - A Euro ReBop 4, with TonePump and EMG-HZ's. I want to immediately go active and load it with a pair of EMG-35DC's. Is this a fairly simple procedure? Although I've never swapped out pup's before, I am comfortable with soldering, and PJ from Spector sent me the TonePump wiring diagram. How easily do the DC's integrate into the existing volume/tone setup? Can I tackle this? Thanks...
