Question EMG "J" Pickups

Hi, I like the deep and powerful sound of EMG pickups and i wanna know how many basses do you know with "J" pickups EMG, like Ibanez SRA 300 or Spector Legend.
Iīm thinking to buy one, but i donīt know wich one.

Those aren't J pickups, they are dual coil 35DC (4 string) or 40DC (5string) pickups.

Now to confuse things even more, P and J style pickups are available in that same housing ( emg 35 P or J, emg 40 P or J) but I don't know of any company that uses those stock.

There are a ton of companies going to the 35 (3.5 in.) And 40 (4.0 in.) size pickups. And yes the DC, CS, P and J pickups all sound pretty drastically different in that same case. There was a good thread here with a ton of sound clips in just about every config.

I used a set of EMG Js in my '87 Ibanez SR-885LE for years.

Here's a recoding done with them. I still had the stock preamp in the bass. This is pretty much what they sound like.

The sound was processed though. I was using a compressor and chorus, etc. I had run the bass into my GK 800RB head and then took a line off that to the board.
