EMG J-style pu's: what type of polepieces?

Can anyone confirm whether EMG J-style active pickups have a continuous blade type polepiece running from end to end rather than separate individual polepieces per string?

I'm specifically inquiring about their older (I believe the model was J5) pickups.

Except for the JV exposed pole piece Jazz pickups (duh!), they are all BLADES, curved to match fingerboard radius to some extent.
