emg jazz bass and p bass pickups setup.

I have a elias bass that came stock with p bass pickups. I had a set of emg jazz bass pickups installed for maximum tone generation.
Has anyone done this to their precision and how did they setup the tone/volume controls?.
I am not happy with my setup and would like some ideas on a new configuration for a three pickup bass. Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks.

Often, if you're not happy with the sound of your current bass simply adding more pickups isn't the answer.

Sounds like you need to define what really is the problem, what's lacking, and what you expect to accomplish tone wise before changing things.

Well I liked the p bass sound and greedy guy that i am wanted more tones from this bass and added the jazz bass pickups. I am just wondering if there are any different wiring setups for the three pickups I could choose from.
