EMG JVX or JAX Jazz Bass Pickups Has anyone tried them??

Hey all,

I know they're fairly new on the market, but has anybody tried the EMG JVx or JAx jazz pickups yet? Any kind of feedback would be great! How do they compare to standard EMG Js? Or even better How do they compare to each other.. the Alnico V magnet vs. the Ceramic etc... Or even much better, has anyone tried either set with the EMG BQC pre? How's the definition? Likes? Dislikes?

if you get on emginc.com and click the emgtv link bobby vega is showcasing the j/jv/jax/and jvx sets.my ear leads me towards the jax set personally.the jv in a very close second.also unless your bass is horrible i would try the btc 2 band first,these preamps are very powerful and can tend to overtake the natural sound of the instrument,if used at the extremes. i.e full boost or full cut.

I'm trying to decide between the EMG-JVXes and the EMG-JAXes. Can't figure out which one I like best with what little info is available outside of EMG's own website.
