EMG / Lane Poor dimensions

Sign in to disble this ad
Here's the scoop; I have a set of Lane Poor pickups that I purchased several years ago for use in a mid-90's model Ibanez SR506 6-string.
The problem is, I no longer own this bass (although I still own the Lane Poor's).

The Lane Poor's have the same dimensions as the EMG 40 series (1.5" width, 4" length).

I'm looking for a fairly inexpensive (new or used) 5 or 6-string bass that I can drop the LP's into, with no additional routing. The current line of SR506's use Bartolini pickups that are longer and narrower than the stock Ibanez pickups the mid-90's version originally had.

Any ideas?

...or is this better asked in the "basses" section?

I think this is the proper forum. Another variable needed for proper assessment of the idea is the height of the pickup. Some basses may require additional routing if the pickup is thicker than the previous one
