emg licensed or MIJ fender?

My current p bass has "johnson EMG" pickups and i just found a great deal on a japanese fender set.Is the swap worth it?

not especially.

save your sofa-cushion money until you can scrounge a USA-made pickup like duncan (not "designed") or "original" fender; their excellent vintage P-bass pickups can both be had for like $50-$60.

it was $50 for the set of fenders,but I suppose I can shop around.
