EMG/ OBP3 - where do the red wires go???

Sign in to disble this ad
i'm putting an obp3 with some emg's but not sure where to put the red +ve from the pickups to connect them to the batteries. Its not included on the wiring diagrams.

I'm sure lots of you out there in bassland have done this before.

thanks

FWIW:

have no idea what a "+ve" is and I assume you're talking about active EMGs. If you go to EMGinc.com you'll see the battery lead from their actives y's in with the battery red and preamp hot (which is usually red as it is on an OBP-3).

You simply splice the red wires from the EMGs into the red wire to the battery, which the pre connects to also.

Then, when you plug a jack in, everything gets powered simultaneously.
