EMG output jack nut

Sign in to disble this ad
So I finally got a chance to install the solderless EMGs on my SX jazz. Very happy with the sound, but one thing is irking me: I can't find the nut for the output jack, and the original nut won't fit, as the EMG seems to be a bit larger.

Is that really the case, or am I just going nuts? I looked at the installation pdf on the EMG website, but didn't see a spec for the output jack. Anybody know the size? I'm just a bit worried because I'm in Japan, where it's a bit difficult to find non-metric sizes.

it should have come with a nut. you may have to take it to a music store and buy another jack that has a nut to fit for a few bucks.

I bought the EMGs from a TBer, and did not find a nut in the package. Local music stores don't carry those kinds of parts. Can anyone tell me what the size is, so I can look for it online?

that's a standard switchcraft 1/2" jack nut. all american stuff uses that size.

i guess it's all metric in japan, but find a store that sells USA guitars and they'll have one lying around.
