EMG P/J question.

Sign in to disble this ad
I know that normally if you put a passive P and J pickup together, it will slightly alter the tone of both pickups, and thus will make the P not sound like a true P. Does the same thing happen with active or EMG P/Js?? Because I love the sound of just an active EMG P and I just want it to sound like a P, but have the J there if I need it.

Help?

To get around the P not sounding like a P in the presence of a J (assuming you have VVT setup), use a 3 way toggle instead. It will sound like a true P then.
