EMG P/MM vs. Bartolini P/MM

I'm building new P-bass and making MM pu in bridge. Which pickup configuration should I put?
I play mostly rock/metal type of music. I've heard that Bartolini makes good low-low mid sound and EMG's good overall sound. I dig that low bass sound of Bartolini but also that modern treble clinging sound of EMG.
For Bartolini side I've thinking P8S and MMC, EMG side P and MMCS.
Or should I get other pickup system?

Depends on what kind of tone you prefer. Personally, I've always found Bart's to sound too dark and slightly undefined. If you're playing rock/metal then I'd suggest going for the EMG's.

As far as p bass pickups go emg is my favorite.
