EMG-p for my fender jp-90???

I'm putting together a fender jp-90, and I think I'm going to mod it and only put just the p pickup in it. What kind of p pickup do you guys recommend, I'm thinking an emg-p. Mostly because i don't really do wiring, and the emg-p seems pretty easy to put in, and of course they're supposed to be versatile and sound great.

If you're referring to EMG quick-clips there's nothing quick about them or any advantage to the user. They still have to be soldered to the pot like any other other pickup but unlike other pickups, those clips often get seperated from the pups so you end up with a pup you can't use without some tedious jeri-rigging - or buying EMG's clips.

If you're talking active EMG's then you're talking battery(s) and additional wiring - unless your bass is already active. Also no passive option.

EMG's are decent pups but there's plenty of others as well.

If you're not up on wiring expect some grief. In advance you might check out FAQ Dimento's Trouble Shooting Guide and the Bass Mod link within the first paragraph.
