Could I use a emg dc pickup with an active pre from bartolini?
Could you also recommend me , about a passive pickup, fat, dark, with woody sound, opposite to the emgs?

see you in basslandsss...

FWIW:

Never ran a DC to a bart pre (had them but not when I had a Bart pre) but I've ran their active PJ's with no issue thru Barts and I see no reason why it would make any difference. Most pups work with any pre, for there to be a issue is rare in my experience.

Woody tones are typically brighter but it's a percussive thing common in hollowbodies. Dark Star is the first one that comes to mind for that in the low end but it covers all ranges, it's not just a dark pup. You'll just have to read through reviews. Mixing some presence in with some reverb may help too, never really messed with it but that's basically what woodiness sounds like - URB-like.

Something to keep in mind is the difference in output. For a time I had an EMG 35DC and Lane Poor M3.5W in my Hamer 12-string. While I much preferred the sound of the Lane Poor, the output of the EMG dominated the blend.
