Emg pickup, which wire is which?

I have hit a bump in my project bass: the pickups: EMG Select old ones ive fitted has 3 wires, Red, White and Brown which i havnt clue what they are,

Could someone tell me what eachwire is for please

(The bass itself is a Fender Jazz if it helps with the orginal neck pickup still in place with a White and Black wires,)

Can anyone help me on this on?

Sorry, my selects only have two wires, one black and one white. Black is ground and white is signal. I would suspect that if you have three wires you are talking phase reversal or coil splitting. Do you have any pictures?

If you visit EMG's website, they've got a number of various wiring schematics-drawings available for anyone to review. It's worth taking 5 minutes to check out.

Brown is nutral and White is live… thanks guys

red is for a switch
