EMG pickups
 

How different do the various emg pickups sound from each other...

I have 2 x emg hbs in my bass with a BQC pre... not really digging it...

Obviously the HB is the 35p equivalent but...

How different does this sound to the DC / CS and the J.

Im deliberating on ditching both the HB's and having a combination of the above...

Alternatively imma ditch them both and get some nordys!

The HB is the same as the P.

The DC has a edgier tone, and the CS is fatter sounding. They are both humbuckers.

The J sounds like a J. Its a stacked humbucker.

If you were to recommend some a mix of the 4 and well positions...

What would work well together... The HB just does nothing for me really! But i love the precision pickup io have on my backup bass... tis weird!
