EMG pickups and Bartolini preamp

I hear Robert Trujillo uses this combination. Just wondering if any of you have this combination and what your thoughts are. Are they well matched? Thanks.

I have one of his signature Warwick's with this combo. Sound fantastic to me. Fact I'm probably going to do the same to another streamer I've got. Really happy with the sound.
