Eq on an SR700

Sign in to disble this ad
Recently picked up a 2001 Japanese Ibanez SR700 secondhand. In great shape and at a nice price.

One question on the eq for anyone familiar with SR's of this period: the three small tone controls knobs appear to be a standard low/mid/high cut/boost configuration except that the mid range knob, when turned fully down appears to significantly drop the over all signal level in the last tiny bit of turn as though it was acting as an active/passive switch ? It behaves normally through out the rest of its turning circle (as do the other knobs).

Is this as it should be ?
