Excessive Play in Volume Pot! Quick Fix?

Sign in to disble this ad
Here's the deal:

My Lull 5 jazz-clone has a conventional volume / blend / mid / stacked treble-bass layout mounted on a jazz style control plate. The volume pot, while securely mounted, has significant shaft play which allows it to turn a little too freely. Normally, I would place either a rubber washer or felt spacer under the control ka-nob for added tension but its a push / pull thingy (active/passive) so the plan is a no-go.

Any ideas as to how to "stiffen" things up?

Thanks

Riis
