Experiences with the Mighty mite MM114 Preamp? (Haz-Lab clone)

Sign in to disble this ad
Have seen a few people having replaced the Tonepump in their basses with the Mighty Mite MM114 Preamp, But havent seen to many reviews of it, How does it hold up against the Haz-lab preamp?

Would have loved to spend my money on the Haz-lab pre, but Spector's onlinestore won't respond to me...

bump

I'm going to bump this up, because I am curious too. I found a website where an electronics guy swear he tested both the Haz and the MM component by component and that they were the same.

I might be giving one a try....

Anybody? Bueller?

I have one in my rebop. Its the same pre as in the ns2a. Its a good sounding pre, close to the haz. The pot values are different. Ill take an 18v trimpot pump over it though. More lows available and you can dial in the output. The 18v pump sounds almost identicle to the haz but with more bottom and bite available. I've always been a haz guy as well. The pump is really hard to beat ( ESP with a tube pre ) .
