Fat Stacks + Audere 3ZB = ?

I think I have finally decided on the electronics for my custom Stambaugh 4 string. Just a quick note on the bass, it is an update on the Guild B-302 and will have a mahogany body and a maple/wenge/bubinga neck.

Any thoughts on my choices for electronics? I am a big fan of the Audere pre, but I have limited experience with Nordstrands. I have heard the Dual Coils and like their sound a lot, but was looking for a little more old school vibe. I would go with the Big Singles, except we will be doing a lot of home recording with this bass, so I'd worry about noise.

What do you guys think?
