I've been toying around with the idea of getting a wireless sometime in my near future. That being said, I've researched on TB a bit about them and I know the cheaper units can really take away from your sound and I've actually experienced that with my friends Samson unit. So, what is your favorite wireless unit for under $200? I like the Sennheiser Digital 1000 and I've seen them on my local CL lately for sub $200. Also the Samson Concert 77 seems pretty cool too. Lets give me some Christmas time GAS, eh TalkBass?

They're great quality and super small, like a reglar Boss pedal.
They gor for $300 but sometimes people here sell theirs for about $200.
Save up or keep your eyes open.
My opinion.
PS. The X2 has no problems with the FCC frequency issues that will rise up in February 2009 like other wireless systems. |

wow.

The system has performed great for me - handles all frequencies on the 5-string basses very well. Soundwise, can't even tell I'm un-cabled. I highly recommend the X2. The only glitch (minor) is that the belt clip on the receiver wouldn't hold very well. I prefer to clip the receiver to the lower end of my shoulder strap instead of my belt. After clipping to the strap, I wrap one of those velcro cable straps around the unit and through the belt clip. That holds the receiver in place and problem solved. |

I haven't experienced any huge tonal problems at all, a little mid range difference (I mean a little) when A/Bed with a lead at home, but live who can tell? Room acoustics screw with your sound more than wireless IMO. Once picked up a local cab company which was weird, but that's a potential problem with any of the cheaper systems I would imagine.

No problem there!
