Favorite EMG 35 sized passive pups

I have an EMG 35HZ passive and I am wondering if there are more favored alternatives in the same form factor? Thanks in advance for any and all opinions. I am looking for more growl in a passive design.

Seymour Duncan SSB-4

I used the 5 string version once. I think it would be a good upgrade.

To answer the OP:

Nordstrand will make Big Singles, Fat Stacks and Dual Coils in EMG35-sized cases.

And IMO Big Singles sound effing mighty.

---

A related question...

(Bart M3 and EMG35 are the same dimensions)

Does anyone (other than Bartolini) make a 35HZ-sized pup where the screw holes are on the face of the pickup (like a Bart M3,) rather than on the edges? (like the EMG 35)

I like to rest my thumb on the pup, and I find the screwhole location particularly annoying on the EMG35 cases.

Lace does.

I'm in the process of making a similar switch. I ordered some SGD neo's in 35 covers a couple of weeks ago. I'll let you know how I like them when I get them installed. I'm also really interested in Nordstrand stuff, but I think their stuff is a bit pricier than the other options (Lace, SGD, Duncan, etc.).
