Fender 57 RI-P VS 62 RI-P pickup

I know the 57 has the raised A poles and the 62 is flush with covers.
Is there a much of a difference in sound between the two ?

i think the raised-pole pickup was an attempt to correct for a dead spot; the design didn't last, so we can assume it didn't work or wasn't ultimately necessary.
