fender 57 RI pup question

Sign in to disble this ad
Can anyone here give me an idea what kind of tone to expect, or any change in sound, installing an american genuine fender split 57 RI pickup into my precision body. I have a fender american ri 57 alder body as well, and have a fender precision american split pickup in it now that came out of a stock fender p bass. Will I notice a distinctive change in tone or will they probably just sound about the same?
Any help would be appreciated before I tear my P bass apart again.

I hear a more rounder deeper tone out of my 57' than say from regular stock pick-ups.
