fender 62 ri jazz Stacked Concentric Control issue

hi all
i just bought this baby and apart the rough factory setup,easy manageable,the major issue for me is the bridbge stacked concentric control in that when i turn up or down the tone knob the volume one follows the rotation in both directions.can you help me fix it?

Release the screw in the inner knob and reset the knob higher on the shaft. Lock the screw down.

Yeah, I had the same problem. Did you take out the detent washer underneath the lower knob? I did because I like the smooth movement instead of a click, and then simply raised the knobs to keep them from rubbing, as mentioned above. Quite literally the first thing I did when I received the bass.
