G&L guys..

My new asat is about a month away, my last one I never had any use for the active mode.. Got me thinking..

Has anyone tried wiring it up as V/V/T with the switches as split/split and.. What ever for the 3rd switch?

I don't use the active part of my L-1505 either. I'm sure that VVT would sound great. I completely removed all of the stock electronics and now use Master Volume, Pan and Master Tone with no battery at all. To me, the bass sounds much better with my mod. My mod is reversible back to stock but I'll never put it back to stock.
Enjoy.

Thanks guys, a couple of good links there to read up on.

And D&B, I never used the active mode either, never really saw the point, to me there was little audible difference between passive and active, it just seemed 'more'

In my opinion, the mark of a well designed onboard preamp is that there is very little or no difference between active and passive modes (other than the effects of lower output impedence).

I'd agree!
