guitar pups vs bass pups

hello all

i've been doing a lot of reading on pickups. i've read Peavey's "ancient order..." document, i've read the Guitar Pickup Handbook, and I've picked up the Mario Milan book.

I've learned a lot and I'm feeling pretty ready to wind up some pickups, but one thing bothers me; i haven't read anything yet that says "By the way, If you're winding bass pickups, be aware of _____"

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
