help choosing new pickups
 

so i decided i wanted to upgrade my basses pickups and was looking at some different EMG's. My problem is that i've never changed pickups before and dont know what kind would be best for my bass and playing style (I play in a metal band) . i have an ESP ltd D5 and my current pickups are the stock ESP SB-5 pickup set. i would really appreciate some advice thanks.

A set of EMG 40DC's ought to drop right in there and get you in the tone ball park.

Personally I'm a fan of Seymour Duncan stuff, I might look at their Soapbars along with their tone circuit.
