Help and info on Fishman pick up
 

Bought a used Breedlove acoustic bass, and generally like it, but no manual and have no experience with these electronics. There seems to be an issue with the battery, sometimes it doesn't make contact, not turn on. Question: Do I need to turn the volume down completely to shut the battery off? Also, the little red battery light does not light, even with a new battery, does this indicate anything (other than the light not working)?

Any other instructions on the electonics on board?

Can you see what model Fishman it is? Maybe get the info from Breedlove? Fishman has a lot of user's manuals up on their site.

I have sent a mail to Fishman lookinfg for their help, and a manual on operation. Thanks for your help.

the volume control has no effect on the battery; when you plug in, it's on.

battery lights usually only light up when the battery is dying, not when it's strong.

if you're not getting good contact, just pinch the "claw" part of the clip in a little so it grips the battery terminal better.
