hi - first post - wiring help please

Hello - im not new to forums but new to this one
(so i understand the idea of "read before posting" and i did but i cant find the answer im seeking)

I have a 4string bass with active emgs in it and stupidly i took them apart and now im having
an issue i cant figure out while re assembly -

i believe i have all the
wires correct
per this diagram and im encountering a ground issue i believe -
namely when
my finger touches the pickups its buzzes - also my volume control does not seem to be working its just "on" - not sure about the tone knob as of yet but i
think it is working.

First things first: don't use a Seymour Duncan Basslines wiring diagram for EMG pickups. Take a look at this diagram: http://www.emginc.com/content/wiring...-PJ-Models.pdf

thank u - i see what i did Wrong clearly.

last thing id
ask is where in the hell do i wire the ground wire from
the
bridge. theres no wire for that on the emg pdf
