High hum with T-Bird

Sign in to disble this ad
My amp makes a high humming sound, similar to what an ungrounded pickup sounds like when my T-Bird is hooked up.

I've checked the ground and it seems ok, just had the bass rewired last month.

It also seems to have reduced output compared to my 1/4-pounder equipped P-Bass. I have to dial my P down to 6 to match the output levels.

When I look at Gibson's wiring diagram for it, I think my jack is wired backwards to the pic. Could this cause the issue?
