HOHNER B BASS VI Question

Hello everyone, I am a noob and have a question. I just purchased a Hohner B Bass VI Q and absolutely love it. my question is about the electronics: when i switch between active and passive, there is a loud pop. is this typical?

also, if there is anyone out there with this model, how do i disable the active/passive LED?

any help is much appreciated!

I have a BBass IV, and no pop. Although mine is like 15 years old, so a lot could have changed. I kinda like the led though

I've had at least 4 Hohner passive/active basses (my current one is 21 yrs old and I owned a brand new one last year) and I've never heard a pop when switching from passive to active. Definitely doesn't sound right to me.
