It's because i'm making a bass (with some help) and i wanna have good pickups and preamps.

i would want 1 Humbucker, 1 single coil and a preamp.

Please help me choosing good stuff

IMO, IME:
Those Fender SC Noiseless pickups would sound fine for your single coil. No hum at all.
BA bridges work well for me.

thanks Stumbo for this advice, but do you have a good idea for a bridge and a preamp.

Do you have a particular sound you are looking for?

For pickups, check out nordstrands, seymour duncan, bartolinis, etc. It depends on the sound you want.

For a bridge, I like the BadAss (Stumbo recommended it too), Gotoh or Hipshot are also available and have good reviews.

For a preamp, lots of folks swear by the Audere ones...

What's the bass configuration going to look like?

Kahler Trem Bridge, Delano - The Hybrid Set, humbucker & jazz, and an Aguliar OBP3, should be good, but thats just some random bass treats!

pu's

You may want to check out Sadowsky vintage preamps with Aero pick-ups. KILLER SOUND!!!

QUESTION? I'm considering builing a bass as well. I was thinking of using a MK-1 soapbar in bridge position and a J in neck position? WIll this work? Any phase issues? Any basses out with this config?

I'll second the Delano The Hybrid set - I was going to suggest an MM/J setup anyway, and The Hybrid just seems like a neat setup. I'd like to try a bass with those pups in it someday. You might also give Q-tuners a look if your budget can swing the expense (which seems to be the case) - they're pretty neat pickups.

From all the pickups and preamps I've tried with my hard earned money (and I've tried way too many) my vote goes for Villex if you want a full, balanced, organic sound.
