Hey guys, you're probably getting bored with my wierd and wacky ideas for wiring etc, but heres another...

Has anybody re-wound a standard jazz bass pickup to be split-coil? I was thinking of buying a cheap J pickup and doing it myself.

No, but I've always wanted to wind my own pickups. I picked up a few books on it, then looked into winders and such...but never got further than that.
